The Refresh VoxBox!

Hello! How is everyone? With exams coming up and Spring Break just around the corner, here are some products that you might want to consider!

842 Medium Beige

Beauty Bits
1.Covergirl UltraSmooth Foundation: Medium Beige $12.99-$16.99
Ok. There are several things wrong with this product. So the foundation comes with a pink silicone applicator and it did nothing. The foundation claims to smooth out the little hairs on the face but the consistency of the foundation is odd in that it appears thin but ends up tugging on your skin when you apply it and makes the hairs on your face look white. But what about the coverage? I tried applying this with the silcone applicator, my hands, and a makeup brush and everytime the coverage was bad. It did not look natural unless you really backed away from the mirror. The foundation emphasized the look of pores, fine lines, dryness, and everything else! And removing this foundation was weird too like I really had to use Coconut Oil to break it down. DON'T TRY THIS. If you're looking for a better and more affordable foundation from Covergirl I would definitely try the Covergirl Ready Set Goregous one.

2.L'OCCITANE Shea Butter Light Comforting Cream $5 (8ml)/ $28 (50ml)
Such cute packaging! This lotion reminds me of a little cream a grandma would have in her purse. It has the classic lightly perfumed scent of baby powder and grandmas.Yes that is my description! It's nice to have in your purse for a little bit of dry hand action or at night before you sleep. Sometimes it's a nice to have something in your bag that does not fill your nose with harsh tropical or berry fragances. Wish this had SPF!

3.Montagne Jeunesse Face Masques $1.49
Wow! I got the  Manuka Honey and Jasmine ones. These smell amazing! The smell totally reminded me of ancient times somewhere in Egypt yea because I totally lived in that period!lol. I only had to use half of one bag for my face and it was really easy to peel off! Try not to leave it on for too long though as it might get harder to peel off. My skin defintiely felt and looked better. These would be great gifts for girls that don't have time to pamper themsleves or really need a skin pick-me-up. The aroma relaxes you and gives you enough time to apply and remove before you hit the door! I LOVE that these are cheap too!

Minty Bits
1.Listerine PocketPaks $1.40
Ya'll these are lifesavers! I prefer these over chewing gum and mints. When I'm at school all day and have a coffee with my hummus cucumber sandwhich you know things in the breath department don't look so great so  I end up needing to freshen my breath before my next class starts. Everyone says these are too strong but they're just right for me!

2.DenTek Fun Flossers (75 count) $2.19-$3.39
DenTek Comfort Clean Floss Picks $1.39
These are just great to have anytime and anywhere. Even if you don't eat meat does anyone else get orange strings stuck in their mouth from eating oranges? The STRUGGLE. Overall, these are super affordable and handy to use.

Food Bits
1.Beanitos Chips: Restaurant Style and Nacho Cheese $3.49
These are FANTASTIC. They're totally VEGAN. I'm not a vegan but I definitely appreciate my chips especially ones that are healthy! Don't believe me? Just check out their website! I think I'll end buying these the most!

2.Skinnygirl Tasty Nutrition Bars: Banana Oatmeal Dark Chocolate
Let's just say someone in my family ate this one therefore I don't know exactly how delicious it was but they claim that it was great! At 150 calories these are great for that midday snack!

*I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.*

My Nighttime Skincare Routine!

I'm sure everyone and their mom knows that coconut oil is like the the most basic and yet the most AMAZING beauty product on the shelves. Not only does it save your itchy and chapped winter skin or dry hair ends but you can cook with it and use it to completely melt the makeup off your skin. I should probably mention that I've had this jar for about 2 years now and I've used this for just about everything but I didn't start using it as a makeup remover until this year. I know coconut oil tends to clog pores so that's why I never used it as a makeup remover BUT my sister gave me her facial cleanser (the yellow bottle pictured above) and they worked perfectly together.

So I use the coconut oil first to break down the mascara, foundation, concealer, etc. (it basically removes everything) and without washing it off I start blending both the cleanser and oil into my skin and I wash it off with some lukewarm water. If I use the oil alone it'll clog my pores and if I use the cleanser alone it really dries out my skin but together they are perfect.

I got this prescribed to me a couple years ago when I had a bit of cystic acne but I remember this really cleared up my skin! But last December and early November I started noticing and feeling the painful pimples growing on my face again so I asked to get this prescribed because other drugstore items just aren't as effective. This works even better if you don't wear makeup but it's totally worth it in the end!

I reviewed this product a while ago in my August favorites and I still use it every so often for my under my eyes when I don't  get enough rest but honestly it's just nice to have any eye treatment to moistuize one of the drier areas of my face.

4. ANEW Rejuvantate Night Revitalizing Night Cream
Avon isn't selling this cream anymore but they have many like it. I think it is just extremely important to mositurize at night since the skin repairs itself at night and the winter time tends to dry out skin. I like to  moisturize my under eye area and my laugh lines.

And if I didn't already have a lot on my face already I just like to seal all the moisture in my skin with this cream. This is actually my everday cream as well! I just really wish it had SPF! The California sun is killing my skin.-_-

What are your favorite face/eye creams?

Review: Mark. Makeup Brushes

Hello Everyone! Today I'll be reviewing Mark's Gimme a Look 5-piece Pro Brush Set.
For those of you who don't know, mark. is a company affiliated with Avon; however, Mark sells products that are higher quality. My mom sells Avon/Mark's so I'm always looking for the best buys. I've mentioned one of Mark's products here and I've also done a makeup brush review that didn't turn out to be so great but I can assure you these turned out to be far better in quality and performance!

The Packaging:
Ok. I was really REALLY impressed by the packaging. Not only were these brushes gorgeous and gold but the foam box totally kept the brushes safe, in-tact, and beautifully packaged. Right. I'll stop drooling over the colors and the packaging and  get on with the performance of these brushes. :)

The Brushes:
1. Eyeliner Brush
Not as thin as I would've hoped but draws a great line. I like to use this to smear a bit of dark brown liner on the outer corner (close to the lashes) for a natural look.

2. Eyeshadow Brush
So soft and helps you build an eyeshadow color or easy to use for a swipe of quick eyeshadow.

3. Concealer Brush
This brush is a bit more dense which is great; however,I really need to purchase a liquid concealer because the stick concealer I'm using at the moment doesn't blend well even with my own fingers so I'll update this when I grab a better concealer.

4. Blush/Bronzer Brush
I LOVE using this brush to blend out blush and bronzer for the days I do fancy a bit of a contour because it's so soft and does not leave any harsh lines!

5. Powder Brush
I was SUPER excited to use this one! AH! It's so perfectly shaped and soft. I went ahead and used this to blend my foundation out and fell in love with how natural my foundation looked. I used this in big circular motions and did the trick! Yes, this is my favourite brush of the set!

Overall Rating: 4/5
As you can see, these fit the bill in price, style, and quality. But I haven't even mentioned the most important part! How do these wash? Is there any fallout? The picture below was taken after a good wash and as you can see there was little to no fallout! Proof that these aren't too shabby :)

Thanks for reading!
Does anyone else buy Avon/Mark? Let me know what your favorite products are?

Onboard the Holiday Sales!

WOW! Where have I been?! Long story short, I've been adjusting to school  and that definitely took a while!...but with Winter Break finally here I now have plenty of more time to write!
Ain't nobody got money after buying gifts! But here I show you some of the things I got on sale! And although this is a beauty blog, I'd really like to show you all my style! Honestly it's a mix of so many things and of course it tends to change with the season. lol can't be wearin' no tank top in this cold! But here's just a small glimpse of my style especially now that I'm going to college, I just really like compfy tops comfy jeans and comfy shoes all while being super comfortable.
Did I mention comfort?

(1) Old Navy Polka dot Top $8
Everyone knows I love wearing white/cream tops so of course I had to get this top! When I was at Old Navy, I saw this shirt and a small sign on the left read '75% off '! In disbelief I grabbed the small and the medium to try on!  I was so happy in the dressing room it didn't suffocate me neither did it fit me short. A lot of shirts always fit me short because I'm a bit tall and it covers my butt which I like; not only for jeans but for leggings! You can check out the top here but in store it costs less.

(2) Old Navy Statement Necklace $5
I love love love this pink! It reminds me exactly of strawberry milk gelatin or some sort of  blush colored candy! And I've recently been loving gold but I actually don't wear statement necklaces too often so that's why I've never bought one. But this one was on sale for such a low price I couldn't wait to finally get one!

(3) Merona Loafers in Cognac $10
I've honestly been wanting a pair of Sperry's for a long time but I can't bring myself to buy $70 shoes! Not only do they look cute but they also look super comfortable. And I know the shoes don't look quite like Sperry's but they these are absolutely comfortable and they are around the same type of style as Sperry's or Clarks. Needless to say, I got them because the price was equally as amazing! You can check out the shoes here but in store they cost less.

(4) H & M Plaid Flannel $23
Not all flannel are created equal! Is anyone with me?! I tried on so many flannels! From F21, HM, CottonOn, Aero, CharlotteRusse, and just about every other store but I couldn't find the right color, size, or material. I had tried on the perfect one when I went to HM when I went there like 2 weeks before Thanksgiving but I also couldn't bring myself to buy a flannel yet because it still wasn't that chilly in SoCal and it seemed a bit expensive to me! But I actually ended up regretting it because it sold out so many times and it was until a couple days ago that it was online in my size! EW I know $23 was a bit of a splurge but I don't buy that often from stores...:)

(5) NY & Company Rings $6
I love rings! These were on sale as well and I do like getting rings and jewelry from       Forever 21 and H&M but it tends to break and tarnish real bad real fast but the quality of NY&C jewelry is a bit better. The price seems to fluctuate but you can check them out here.

Hope you all liked a fashion haul! I'm sometimes a bit weary of posting things like this because some things aren't available in stores anymore but I hope you all liked this!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday! :)

My Netflix Picks!

Winter is the perfect time for blankets and TV!
Perfect excuse to start a new series! Or movie?
Let me know if you would all like a blog post on some movie picks as well!

1. The Paradise
Wow. This series was so so well made! I already have a feeling this blog post will be lengthy because I can talk about shows and characters FOREVER. But I will get to it! So the main character Denise pictured below is seriously adorable but posses great courage as an employee/woman and does so with so much grace. Obviously there's a love interest and he's the store owner but I won't ruin anything else for you! There's drama in the show but nothing stupid or repetitive at all and most of the problems are solved by the time the episode has ended which I like! The name of the department store is called 'The Paradise' and the producers did such an excellent job at portraying it as the most extravagant store that I honestly wish I could go there and be lured in by the beautifully displayed products. Like this picture just speaks for itself, it captures a beautiful scene of the store and the  curious/witty face of the wonderful Denise.

An adaption of Ã‰mile Zola's novel Au Bonheur des Dames

2. North & South
This is basically Pride & Prejudice, only a century later. No but really, sometimes I debate on whether this one is better because not only does Mr. Thornton do an excellent job at portraying a strong but passionate character, you truly feel how Margaret Hale feels as she shifts her dislike into a genuine love for him. Sometimes I think he is the true Mr.Darcy. Sorry Matthew Macfadyen/Colin Firth. I also very much appreciate the social issue aspect that North & South addresses. That's the thing about some period dramas, they make them so romantic and beautiful that they forget how so many social issues enveloped the growing industrial world. That is why I love North and South, yes it has a surprising love story but also a very real and raw depiction of the working class and how they were effected by the political and economic idealogies of the time.LOL. If you haven't figured it out yet I'm kind of a history geek!

Based on Elizabeth Gaskell's novel North & South

3. Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries
I was so excited to see this series because this was the 1920s! Things really began to change and the fashion was truly glamourous. This show really went beyond that! Miss Fisher (pictured on the bottom right) is so perfect at literally everything! She solves intricate crimes, captures bad guys, always know what to say and does so with fabulous style! Ya'll already know that guy on the bottom right is her love interest! But besides that, it really is an exciting show that captures the rustle and bustle of the Roaring 20's. I'm sure you'll be as excited as me when they come out with the third season next year!

4. Gran Hotel
Nope. NOT. EVEN. CLOSE. You guys it was so hard to find a picture that captured this super addicting show! I'd never watched a show thats kept me on the edge of my seat but DANG this show did just that. This show is originally from Spain so saludos to my fellow Spanish speakers, but it has English captions! This show really involves so many things: drama, crime, romance, mystery, comedy etc. etc. My family and I got really addicted to this show in the summer and we still talk about it to this day! I'd love to mention the plot but you just need to see it,it is so good we even got my cousins addicted as well! Also, the cinematography is just spot on! The producers seriously made everything so so so crisp and beautiful. Yes just like a chocolate wafer!

Alicia confiesa a Julio que se ha acostado con Diego por miedo

5. Parks and Rec
(Chris Traeger voice) This is literally the best show I have ever see! You guys I am so sad to see that this show will be having its last season next month and I won't be able to handle it (insert crying emoji) but the main charcter Leslie Knope is seriously one of my role models. As I've mentioned in one of my blog posts, she's just so hilarious and funny and loving and caring and energetic I just wish I could meet the actress that plays her, Amy Poehler, because it looks like it doesn't take much for her to get into chararcter. If you loved the series The Office then you'll definitely love this series and honestly the picture below captures the show perfectly!

Keep in mind I didn't watch all these shows in one go! These are series I've watched since early Spring of this year! But I do enjoy some occasional netflix binges!

Let me know if you give any of these a try!:)
Happy New Year!

My first VoxBox!

Goodmorning everyone! I just had my first week at University!
And in perfect timing, I received my first #DLVoxBox for Uni!
So glad I did because I'm broke after buying those textbooks!:(

Included:

1. COVERGIRL Ready, Set Gorgeous Liquid Foundation: $6.99-$8.99
2. KISS Looks So Natural Lashes: $3.99
3. SinfulColors No Text Red: $1.99
4. Softlips Cube: $3.49
5. Airheads Bites: $0.87-$1.29
6. Playtex Sport Fresh Balance: $3.99
7. Pilot Frixion Clicker: $5.75 for a 2 pack

The Beauty Bits:

1. COVERGIRL Ready, Set Gorgeous Liquid Foundation: Shade 305
I'm going to be real honest here, when the Katy Perry ads and the seventeen magazine ads showed this foundation with the packaging and all the glamour, it really turned me off because the packaging looked cheap and seemed like it would be yet another oily/greasy foundation for a celebrity to sell. Am I the only one?! Since I never would have bought this on my own and I ran out of my other foundation, I'm glad that I got this sent! Since it's still 90-100 degrees in California and I walk around school all day, this came in handy because it actually didn't get shiny on me until after a few hours! I wish I would've chosen a shade lighter for the colder months but walking around so much, I might get darker/tanner. So it worked out well! Also, the foundation does oxidize and gives light- medium coverage, it's buildable!

2.KISS Looks So Natural Lashes: Sultry
Wow. These are beautiful! I've never had false lashes like these, they look so natural and elegant, it really makes my $1 lashes look so halloween/ fake and distasteful. I wish I could go back in time to prom so I could've bought some of these instead [insert a thousand crying emojis!!].I'm glad these come with their own glue too because I had to buy a thick glue for my cheap ones.I would definitely give these a try!

3. SinfulColors: No Text Red
No no no. I wished I liked the color red but it just doesn't suit me :( My mom said it doesn't look that bad on my toes, perhaps a deeper wine color might do the trick but I'll have to give this to my cousin who is a red lipstick/nailpolish addict!:)

4. Softlips Cube: Pomegranate Blueberry
Am I the only one who thinks the packaging looks so cool? First, this product is true to its name, it leaves your lips feeling suuuper soft! Also, it smells like delicious fruitiness (Pomegranate Blueberry)! And as far as moisturizing and all its claims, it's pretty good - I wouldn't completely count on this to save your lips in the winter time though! :)

5. Airheads Bites
I find it weird reviewing a candy, I wonder if other bloggers felt the same lol! I hadn't eaten candy in a long time,so these took me back to eating candy in a movie theater and airheads have always been super saturated in flavor so I quite enjoyed that flashback!:)

6. Playtex Sport Fresh Balance: Regular
It's always wierd to talk about periods but it's ok! We are all girls here!:) I haven't had the chance to test these out because it's not my time yet, but it's always great to have these especially a full box when you don't have time to worry about your period or go out to buy some, 'cause girl I got exams to be studying for!

7. Pilot Frixion Clicker:Black/Blue Pens
These are actually erasable pens that came in handy when it was the first thing I saw before heading out to school, I just grabbed them and used them for my first day but I tend to write things on the palms of my hand to remember things...also the ink wasn't so pigmented. These also didn't erase the words of page so easily so I don't think I would repurchase these but they were great to use for my emergency and for doodling!

Thanks you so much for reading! Tell me what you think if you give these products a try!
xoxo

Disclosure: I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

My Fav Youtubers!

Hello! So I thought I'd change things up a bit and share with you all my current Youtuber favs! Everytime I look in my subscription box, they are the ones I get the most excited about!:)

1.Claire Ashley from Ultimakeover
Better

My sis first introduced me to Claire Ashley because she really felt like a youtuber we'd be friends with in real life! She is so genuine, nice and has the best makeup tutorials! I feel like there are plenty of youtubers that go for dramatic makeup looks but Miss Claire offers wearable and beautiful looks that are so feminine, chic, and classy! She's also recently been doing some vlogs that are so entertaining and makes you feel like you're part of the vlog as well!
Go Claire! :)

2. Anna from ViviannaDoesMakeup

I've been watching Anna grow so much within the past year! Her vlogs with Lily Pebbles are so entertaining! Although I don't live in the  UK, it's nice to have a glimpse of it through her and Lily's vlogs (their accents are a plus too)! I admire her hardwork and dedication to her blog, as she recently won a Bloglovin' award!
Go Ana!:)

3. Katherin from Kaaatherin

Katherin is actually from Chile and her videos are in Spanish but don't let that stop you from watching! For me,Youtube is a place to learn-even new languages and people. Although I grew up speaking Spanish, I still feel like I need to learn more and watch other youtubers to gain knowledge on their culture and language*! Of course Katherin is sweet, friendly and basiclly your best friend from another country! I love her editing skills and her accent so much!
Saludos Katherin!:)

* Many people aren't aware that different Spanish-speaking countries have different accents and customs. It's a bit offensive if you squeeze them all into one category.*

4. Alexis from French Guy Cooking

Alexis is one of the few guy youtubers I watch, and for good reason! He's so entertaining! He's your classic French Chef, but more like you're cool French bestfriend! He shows you how to cook delicous and easy things, most are French inspired but he definitely mixes it up now and then! His videos are sure to keep you entertained and leave you with a good taste (pun intended)!
Go Alex!

5. Pemberley Digital: Emma Approved

I don't even think I need to explain how much I loved this webseries! I've always loved Jane Austen's novels and when I came across The Lizzie Bennet Diaries webseries based on Pride & Prejudice, I was seriously addicted! I then began to watch Emma Approved based on Emma, that's when I was like, WHERE THE FLIP HAVE I BEEN?! They came out with new episodes every Monday and Thursday and I was so excited to see them, you should've seen me in June! Even on vacation, I hunted down wifi like no other just to watch them. Oh gosh, I sound like a crazy person! Anywho, if you like a good story or if you're a Jane Austen fan like me, you'll love this!

Tell me who you're watching! I'd love to hear!:)

The goldbrushes.

Happy Friday everyone! Can 10 brushes for $8 be real?! Is it worth it?
Then keep on scrolling to find out!

As you can see I definitely have been 'testing' these to bits!:) Nevertheless, I wanted to review each brush individually starting with

1. Angled stipple brush
I love using this to blend and contour with darker foundations on the temples, cheekbones and jawline but the brush had plenty of  fallout.

2. Flat top stipple brush
I thought this would be the best for foundations but it didn't blend well and it had plenty of fallout.

3. Contour brush
I have no complaints! It contoured beautifully and DID NOT have fallout!:)

4. Kabuki brush
I am so sad that this brush had the MOST fallout, it was the best at blending/ buffing foundations!

5. Angled Kabuki brush
I use this with my shimmer cubes ( highlighter) on my cheek bonesand love how it does so perfectly!:) But this brush again has plenty of fallout.

Overall: Although these brushes are soft, dense, and cheap, only after the first few washes*did these began to have fallout (look closely at the picture below). Also, I had to glue 2 of them back together because they were poorly attached. These are NOT worth buying.

* I wash my brushes with a mix of olive oil/dishsoap and dry them upside down*
Brushes listed in order from Left to Right

Negative review aside, here's a more positive one on the

The Eye Set:
1. Small stipple brush
I love how beautifully it blends out even the harshest colors.

2. Crease blender brush
If I don't use brush #3, I opt for this one for a softer look.

3. Eye contour brush
This is dense enough but soft enough to work into the crease of the eyes and is literally my favourite!

4. Angled brush
This one is great for a smokey look.

5. Angled stipple brush
Again, great for blending.

Overall: These have little to no fallout and blend eyeshadows beautifully! I definitely recommend these and the price is just as amazing!:)
Brushes listed in order from Left to Right

The shipping:
I ordered these from Dresslink with free shipping and from China to California- this took about 3-4 weeks to arrive. You can definitely pay $5-10 more for faster service but I was just being cheap!:) Despite free shipping, the brushes still came in tact!:)

Thanks for reading everyone! Hope my in-depth review wasn't too long!:)

The august favs.

A bit late on this one, but these products are worthy of my first monthly favorites! They are:

2.Neutrogena Healthy Skin Foundation (Natural Beige 60)

Keep in mind I don't have mature skin yet but I just wanted to decrease the visible laugh lines and creases under my eyes that make my face look older than it should. So I used this for about a month after I cleansed my face and before I applied my moisturizer. But come on lets get to it! Did it work? Would you repurchase?YES. I saw a dramatic change in the laugh lines and under eye creases! They're not 100% gone but I think that a good decrease in the visibilty of my lines for the cost of an affordable cream is ok with moi :)

Foundation left, Eyeshadow right
Could this really be a dupe for the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation?! Well I've never tried it but what I can say is that this foundation is definitely worthy of trying out! I love the satin finish! It's not too dewy and not too matte. I love that you can build this up to a medium-full coverage! I don't think you'll be disappointed with this product, in fact, this might just be for all skin types :)

3. Wet n' Wild Single Eyeshadow
This is such an affordable and all around necessary eyeshadow color that allows you to go from a natural to dramatic look.I use it as a base color on the lids and I love the color because it's a nice cream color that doesn't look or feel  chalky. It can also be used on the browbone as a highlighter!

4. Mark. Touch & Glow Shimmer Cream Cubes All Over Face Palette
This is basically the first highlighter I've ever tried and WOW.You can use this as a highlighter, eyeshadow, lipstick, haha joking on the last one!Unless your'e into that, then by all means! I love how you can swish your brush and combine all the colors to get a beautiful glow that isn't too IN YOUR FACE, instead its a natural glow, don't get me wrong, you can pack this thing but it looks great with a quick application on the cheekbones, browbones, and inner corner.Trust me,you'll get compliments and the best part? These are creamy and are not a glittery mess!

Thanks for reading beautifuls!

The wet n' wild megalast lipsticks.

Hello everyone! So I'm super behind on this lipstick hype, but I seriously cannot wait to share with you all why these lipsticks definitely deserved it! When I did my cousins makeup on Saturday, she tied it on and literally was like
 " I NEED THIS."

Mauve Outta Here and Bare It All

I've watched plenty of Youtube tutorials to narrow down which ones I wanted to try out and swatch. Unfortunately, I'm not a huge red lipstick fan because nudes, pinks, and mauves are my faves! Although they give a matte finish, they are actually creamy, non-drying and stay on your lips for quite a while! I absolutely love the shades I chose because they are so wearable and I think will definitely compliment any skin tone! They are sooo rich and pigmented, I love them. You seriously can't beat the price.

Pros: price, pigmented, creamy, long lasting, shade selection
Cons: cheap packaging

You can pick these up at your local drugstore for $2-3.
Fall in love with these lipsticks, because I know you will!
( pun intended because it's almost fall!) :)

I'm on bloglovin'!

Do you have a blog? Because I would looooooooooooove to follow yours back! :)

The FITme collection.

Goodmorning Beauties! :) I've been trying out this foundation for a few weeks now and am now ready to tell you if it's worth it!

Maybelline FITme foundation - 230
Maybelline FITme shine free foundation - 240

So I purchased the FITme foundation along with the foundation stick to use a concealer. I liked that this foundation matched more of my skin-tone than other foundations that I've tried and that it gave me a nice medium coverage providing a kind of  dewy look but it was a bit too heavy on my skin later causing my skin to break out and I noticed that it tended to fade throughout the day.The foundation stick is pretty thick and creamy but it blends well! The foundation stick had excellent coverage but I do wish there was more product! I would definitely use this for fuller coverage looks and even use a darker shade to contour.I would probably try this if you have dry to combination skin  but definitely not oily skin.

Follow me for more foundation reviews!

The happy eye makeup remover.

I love makeup but sometimes you just want it to slide ride off without having raccoon eyes or damaging your skin from excess scrubbing and later causing wrinkles!

So here are my quick lifesavers:
Avon Moisture Effective Eye Makeup Remover lotion $1
Avon 3-in-1 Cleansing lotion $2

(1) I first like to use the cleansing lotion to break down all the makeup. Squeeze a good amount to both ring fingers and close your eyes to gently rub the eyelashes and eyelids of unruly makeup.

(2) In circular motions, remove the makeup and rinse with water. The formula is gentle enough to not sting your eyes too badly so really work it in.Rinse and repeat if necessary.

(3) For the extremely rebellious makeup, pour the lotion on a cotton swab or perhaps a cotton ball  and wipe away the makeup.

(4) Follow up with your regular face regime and make sure to moisturize moisturize moisturize!

Hope I helped out all the raccoon eyes out there! :)

The hair essentials.

While in the summer I like to give my hair a break from heat, I tend to use more products that really refresh and repair my hair. I also just got a haircut so I definitely want to keep it as healthy as possible :)
Here are some of my essentials:

L'oreal Elnett Hairspray
I usually use this product year round but I absolutely love it when I do some heatless curls because it really allows them to stay in place!

Herbal Essences Naked Cleansing Conditioner
You remember that good old, " If you were stranded on an island what 3 things would you bring?", question? Well yes, you guessed it! This would be the 1/3 things I would bring!you really have to massage it into the scalp but your hair will thank you for it because it's free of sulfates/parabens! Btw the minty smell that lingers for 24+ hours is always amazing too!

Avon Moroccan Argan Oil
When I had my long hair I used to absolutely drench my ends with this and it was so worth it! I used it after I took a shower. It smells great and now since I cut my hair, it really gives my ends some extra shine and moisture!

Clips
These clips that I got from Sally's Beauty supply are quite versatile. When using a curling iron I can use them to set the curls in place or in this case, I use it on 80% dry hair and pin the curls in place. If you leave them in longer and take smaller sections, you get tighter curls.  And if you take larger sections and keep them in for a shorter time you get this:

The summer craze.

So I just had to do this blog post because these are on sale for $3 and they are absolutely amazing! My mom first purchased one because it was on sale but once she wore the Metallic Sands one as a liner, we were both in shock at how well they performed!

They are crazy pigmented and don't even crease! And they have 2 colors so you are definitely getting your moneys worth! For only $3 each, my mom just had to buy all of them, I think these can easily be used as a liner, highlighter, base for eyeshadows, etc. Whether it's summer or winter, I would definitely use these year round!

Goodmorning all! Today's blog post will feature just some of my AVON foundations, while not all are my favourite, they are truly meant for different skin types so you'll have try them out for yourself just in case!

Without further or do let's get to it!

Avon Ideal Flawless BB Cream (SPF 15) - Medium Deep $10
This foundation is slightly sheer but buildable. It has a slight shimmer to the formula but it actually makes the skin look quite glowy and have a summery dewy look!It looks quite flattering but if you're out all day in the sun with sweaty oily skin, it might not look so great. This is very much an every day foundation but I would consider using a setting powder to really lock things in place. I do want to purchase one in a shade lighter for the colder months to see how it does!

Avon Ideal Flawless Invisible Coverage liquid foundation (SPF 15) - Medium Beige $8

This foundation reminds me of the BB cream, only it gives fuller coverage. Everyone seems to be a big fan of this foundation but for me,the formula made me break out. It also oxidized* so I my skin looked a bit orangey and more yellowish than when I did when I first applied it.I liked that the foundation was very buildable and in fact looked skin like but the foundation was somewhat heavy on my skin. Setting powder is also needed!

Avon Extra-lasting liquid foundation (SPF 12) - Medium Beige $10

This foundation was also a bit heavy but it was understandable because the formula is meant to last you all day. The coverage was great and it definitely didn't get shiny for at least 5+ hours! This has more of a matte-satin finish and it really sets in your skin. This is great for those long days at work or school. But I do have to say that the formula is a bit heavy so it might not suit some skin types. Especially if you don't want it setting in fine lines a beauty blender. I think this one would work great with

Avon Magix Cashmere Finish liquid foundation (SPF 10) - Natural Beige $8

Avon Magix Cashmere Finish liquid foundation (SPF 15) - Medium Beige
I've used this one more often because it's REALLY natural looking! You may need to set this or use a primer to really make this one last but  I enjoyed this formula because it truly feels lightweight and is very buildable thus I can wear this everyday.! I love how natural it looks and how it gives just the right amount of radiance.I don't think I've ever broken out with this foundation!

*Side note: Most Avon foundations tend to oxidize.

Hope that helped! Thank you for reading :)
